Quilting

I love to quilt, cross stitch and sew.
I was 7 yrs old when my mum first gave me my own set of sewing and embroidery stuff.
It consisted of some very old DMC threads and my own Aida to sew on.
Below are some pictures of some of the first things I ever stitched.

Cross Stitch was my craft of choice and over the years I have stitched many a wedding present for friends and house warming presents for family.

I am still a DMC thread girl over Anchor and have a rather large stash of threads.
Unfortunately they do not all fit in my thread box!

About 12 years ago I got into quilting. I made a beautiful quilt for my nephew as he was born and some other little ones for friends.
Like most people I have UFO's and WIP's. (doesn't everyone?)

Unfortunately, my children have taken up all my time in the last few years, but it has been time well spent in my opinion, they are great boys.

So not much quilting or stitching has passed through these fingers.
That hasn't stopped me searching for new patterns etc to add to my stash for when my time returns.
