X is for ....... X

X is for well X

There are several words like x-ray, xerox and xylophone that we just can't seem to live without.
There are sadly not too many more that that we can live with. The only X word that I found interesting was Xenium - which means a gift given to a guest or stranger. So the next time you stay in a hotel and find a mint on your pillow then you have been given a xenium.

However I am going to use a few words of my own - experiment, this is the word for all the seeds that we have just grown and have now planted in the garden. We are attempting to grow carrots, red onions, brown onions and spring onion. We brought some leeks but they were not from seed and we will see how they grow too.

X-stitch - my new favorite pass time, cross stitching, although having said that I haven't done any in the last 2 weeks as I have been completing my essay for my degree.

Excited - how my boys felt after the weekend just gone when we had time away in Auckland to watch "How to train your dragon". It was an amazing show and had some extremely awesome special effects in it with the radio controlled dragons.

Exercise - what I should be doing to assist me with my current weight lose plan!!!

Music and Lyrics

Song always amaze me.
People get so much from a song and mostly they always get different things from it.

I heard on the radio the other day that girls will hear the lyrics whilst boys will hear the music.
Girls will try to figure out what the song is about and boys will sort out the beat and rythme.

It is 'Grace Kelly' by Mika
I love this song, have done since the first day I ever heard it on the radio.
I think it is catchy and fun.
I also had no idea what it was about but always presumed it was about love.
So imagine my surprise when I find out it is actually about him trying to secure a job, worrying about the job interviews and what is wrong with him, that he is unable to get a job and what he would be prepared to do to enable him to get a job.

Now that I know this about the song, I still love it, but it makes me sing along listen differently!

Bathroom Walls

This is one place that I was always taught never to believe anything that was written there.

So I was amazed when I actually found something really great written on a bathroom wall.

Let me explain.....

As this is the last week of Kindy before Christmas they are requesting the parents come along sometime and help get the place clean and tidy for the summer holidays.

So I put my name down to go and assist with the garden, reason being that then I could take Alex as well and he could play outside whilst I tidied and I could still watch him.

Of course nature called whilst there and I was lucky enough to get to use the adult facilities.

So there I am sat doing my business and there on the wall is a list of the Top 43 Most Beautiful Words in the English Language.

So I read on and then come home to investigate further. Turns out to be true as well.

Apparently a survey performed by the British Council was sent to 7000 language students in 46 countries as well as an on line survey to find out what they considered to be the most beautiful words in the English Language?

Over 35,000 people registered their favorites.
