A Good Laugh

Every now and then you read something on the internet and it makes you laugh out loud.
Sometimes it is so good you laugh so much you have tears running down your face.

This particular piece did just that for me, enjoy.......

These are complaints a travel agent received from some of their clients.....:

1. "I think it should be explained in the brochure that the local store does not sell proper biscuits like custard creams or ginger nuts."

2. "It's lazy of the local shopkeepers to close in the afternoons. I often needed to buy things during 'siesta' time -- this should be banned."

3. "On my holiday to Goa in India, I was disgusted to find that almost every restaurant served curry. I don't like spicy food at all."

4. "We booked an excursion to a water park but no-one told us we had to bring our swimming costumes and towels."

5. "The beach was too sandy."

6. "We found the sand was not like the sand in the brochure. Your brochure shows the sand as yellow but it was white."

7. "Topless sunbathing on the beach should be banned. The holiday was ruined as my husband spent all day looking at other women."

8. "No-one told us there would be fish in the sea. The children were startled."

9. "There was no egg-slicer in the apartment."

10. "We went on holiday to Spain and had a problem with the taxi drivers as they were all Spanish."

11. "The roads were uneven.."

12. "It took us nine hours to fly home from Jamaica to England. It took the Americans only three hours to get home."

13. "I compared the size of our one-bedroom apartment to our friends' three-bedroom apartment and ours was significantly smaller."

14. "The brochure stated: 'No hairdressers at the accommodation'. We're trainee hairdressers -- will we be OK staying there?"

15. "There are too many Spanish people. The receptionist speaks Spanish. The food is Spanish. Too many foreigners now live abroad."

16. "We had to queue outside with no air-conditioning."

17. "It is your duty as a tour operator to advise us of noisy or unruly guests before we travel."

18. "I was bitten by a mosquito. No-one said they could bite."

19. "My fiancé and I booked a twin-bedded room but we were placed in a double-bedded room. We now hold you responsible for the fact that I find myself pregnant. This would not have happened if you had put us in the room that we booked."

Have a great week :)

Quitting

Here in New Zealand, as I am sure is happening in all countries, they are trying to get the young to realise that smoking is not cool, it is not friendly and it is not our future (as the campaign goes).

They have come up with several slogans and teamed these up with some famous New Zealanders to promote. Thus in turn hoping that if they see one of the sports stars or actors that they like promoting that smoking is not cool then maybe they will listen and not smoke.
These promotions are everywhere, adverts on buses, bus shelters, in magazines, on the radio and tv.

They have decided to put them on the back of the buses used by the bus company to move school children, again hoping that they will be more readily seen by this part of the population.
The buses used are normal everyday buses that just have a fold down sign on the back that then lets you know it is currently a 'school' bus.
The fold down sign is big and bright and yellow and clearly visable.
However what some one didn't think about is the effect of the 'not smoke campaign' and the word 'SCHOOL' when it was visable.

So now we have ended up with the following happening.......
Take one campaign slogan........"What gave you the idea that smoking was cool?" then in bright letters you conveniently have the words "SCHOOL"

The 2nd campaign slogan was......"Take action, take control, quit"........."SCHOOL"

A few red faces at the moment as they realise what the back of the buses now say!
Apparently when they come up with more slogans they will try them on the back of the bus with the school sign first to ensure it reads ok.

Too Much Tv

Today whilst getting dressed, my 2 boys came into the bedroom.
Now they know our bedroom door is always open and I have no worries getting dressed in front of them.
However this morning the conversation with Ben went like this:

B: Mummy, why do you wear a bra?
M: Because it is what ladies wear to keep their boobies looking nice.
B: Well you should try an 'Ah Bra'!
M: Couldn't speak as I was laughing so much I just about fell over!
B: Mummy, why are you laughing?
M: Because you are so cute and adorable!

An 'Ah Bra' for those of you that don't know, is a bra that is currently advertised on tv as the next best thing! Haha, looks like crap if you ask me but I just had to laugh so much the fact that Ben had watched the ad and taken so much on board!

In normal fashion they always have deals on about 'Buy 1 get 6 Free' To me if they are so wonderful then why doesn't Littlewoods and Farmer's sell them?

Kids

We all love them and at times we all hate them. But what ever it is they can always make us smile.

Kids Are Quick

TEACHER: Maria, go to the map and find North America.
MARIA: Here it is.
TEACHER: Correct. Now class, who discovered America?
CLASS: Maria...

TEACHER: John, why are you doing your math multiplication on the floor?
JOHN: You told me to do it without using tables.

TEACHER: Glenn, how do you spell 'crocodile?'
GLENN: K-R-O-K-O-D-I-A-L'
TEACHER: No, that's wrong
GLENN: Maybe it is wrong, but you asked me how I spell it.
(I Love this kid)

TEACHER: Donald, what is the chemical formula for water?
DONALD: H I J K L M N O.

MILLIE: All right... 'I am the ninth letter of the alphabet.'

TEACHER: George Washington not only chopped down his father's cherry tree, but also admitted it. Now, Louie, do you know why his father didn't punish him?
LOUIS: Because George still had the axe in his hand.

TEACHER: Now, Simon, tell me frankly, do you say prayers before eating?
SIMON: No sir, I don't have to, my Mom is a good cook.

TEACHER: Clyde , your composition on 'My Dog' is exactly the same as your brother's. Did you copy his?
CLYDE : No, sir. It's the same dog.

TEACHER: Harold, what do you call a person who keeps on talking when people are no longer interested?

Blogging

I have just been surfing back through my own blog!!
I have been blogging for just over 2 years now.
It is quite fun going back and seeing what I wrote, what pictures I put on there and what everyone looks like. This is particularly interesting as I started blogging when Alex was only 9 weeks old and he is now 2, so lots of changes in the pictures for the boys.
If you have your own blog, then take the time sometime to revisit it and see what was happening to you this time last year or even the year before.

You will have quite a laugh.
