Overdue

Whilst at my cousin's house this past weekend, she rented a DVD for the boys.
She got 'Hugo' and the boys started to watch this whilst at her house.
Unfortunately being the cruel mother that I am, I didn't allow them to see the end as they needed to sleep prior to their judo tournament the next morning.
We did though promise that when we got home we would get the movie from the rental store and watch it as a family.
So on Monday afternoon I got the movie (plus 2 others) for us to watch.
Can't say I was too impressed with the movie, it was very slow, nothing ever really happened and the way it was portrayed in the trailers I was expecting a little more adventure.
The boys however did enjoy it and that is all that matters.

Hugo was due back yesterday and the other 2 movies due back today.
As we had finished watching all the movies then they all got returned on yesterday.

3 times I tried to return them, or at least 3 times I remembered that they needed to be returned, everytime I drove past the store without them in the car! So at 6pm on a wet night Steve kindly raced out after work and returned all the movies.

So it was with a rather odd look on my face that I read the text from the store this morning saying we had an overdue movie!
I called Steve to check he had returned 3 movies? Yep sure had.
Seeing as I was out and about I decided to visit the store rather than call on the telephone to see what the issue was.

I happily explained to the man that we had returned all the movies the night before, only 1 of them was actually due on that day so the other 2 were in no way overdue etc.
He kindly checked on his computer and then proceeded to show me the problem....

Turns out it was all my fault, which I will happily admit (quick someone note that down somewhere!) because yes we had returned all the movies, yes my husband had put 3 movie cases on the counter last night, yes they had all gone together but what would have made it even better is if 1 of the movie cases actually had the movie inside.
Yep that is right, we returned the box but not the movie, this was still happily sitting in the blue ray player at home.

So after smiling nicely at the man and accepting the empty case, I raced home and retrieved said movie from the machine and returned it back to him. I did however just check that there were no fines involved as the movie in question was not actually due back until later today so should never have incurred any fines at all.
Happily for us the man agreed and our account is still sat on zero charges.

Fifty Shades

Have you read them? Have you even heard about them?
The Fifty Shades of Grey Trilogy?

I came across them on the back of the TV Guide (I know odd place), there was a full 1 page ad for the full trilogy. Nothing much mentioned just a quick statement about how they were the next best trilogy to be published.

Now why is it I only find out about great sets of books when the last one is being published and everyone seems to know about them except me?
I decided that I would check them out the next time I was near a book store, as I had never heard of them and knew nothing about them.
Turns out when I did find them in the store I didn't have to go far, there they were front and centre when I walked in the shop, there was no missing this book or books as they were all there for all to see.
Wow, made me realise that these must be a really special well written book that everyone was loving.
So I read the back of them.....worked out which one was the first in the set and read the back of that again to get an understanding of the story plot.....

"Romantic, liberating and totally addictive, this is a novel that will obsess you, possess you, and stay with you for ever. When literature student Anastasia Steele interviews successful entrepreneur Christian Grey, she finds him very attractive and deeply intimidating. Convinced that their meeting went badly, she tries to put him out of her mind - until he turns up at the store where she works part-time, and invites her out. Unworldly and innocent, Ana is shocked to find she wants this man. And, when he warns her to keep her distance, it only makes her want him more. But Grey is tormented by inner demons, and consumed by the need to control. As they embark on a passionate love affair, Ana discovers more than her own desires, as well as the dark secrets Grey keeps hidden away from public view...."

Wow a new love story, my type of book, maybe it is about more vampires, maybe witches or some other weird and wonderful creature that is going to take over human love stories...?
I did read the Twilight series and thoroughly enjoyed the well written books.

I decided to check them out on Amazon for Kindle when I got home because at $30 per book there was no way I was buying them in hard copy.
Amazon had them, and at a much more reasonable price too, so I brought all 3........and then I read the first one!!

Ok, well yes, hum ok err are you sure, did I choose the right book? Are they serious about all the fuss, has anyone actually read this book? Are they sure this is what they want to promote? Not sure how this would ever work as a movie and lets face it, most powerful out there books seem to get converted into a movie at some stage nowadays. Is there a health warning attached to this book these books? Am I actually allowed to read this in public, with kids around?

Now don't get me wrong, I have actually read book 2 and am half way through book 3, I found I read them very fast out of pure fascination, where was the story going, what was going to happen, how was this going to play out?
Did I find them well written - yes and no. They are easy to read, not the greatest writing I have ever come across but if you want to loose yourself in a book then what better way than with an easy to digest story.
However that also brings me on to the story line, not sure how this has managed to play out over 3 books, a little long and drawn out, the story is predictable to a point and a little boring in places, a little repetitive I could say as well, also a little over the top I think.

Would I recommend someone else read them - maybe!
If you have not read them and want to know what all the fuss is about then yes sure read them, you will then understand and maybe enjoy them. But would I rank them on my top list of great books to read, probably not, although with all the hype they are getting I can see why people are reading them, why wouldn't you? But would they be one of the greatest all time books you just have to read? NO, again I think people are reading them purely because of the hype around them at present.

And they are making a movie!!
Although as I read on a website the other evening when checking stuff out, one person wants to know how they are going to rate this movie, because if they manage to re-enact some of the book then it will not have a rating scale as an 'R' just won't cover it. But to change the story in anyway will just loose the power and aspect of the story and therefore is just not worth making.

Watch the websites people, only time will tell what the movie makers decide to do....!

On a more lighter note - don't forget the kids pyjama give-away I have running at present. Just pop on over to this post and leave a comment to be in with a chance of winning a pair.

Movie Premier

At the end of last week I was lucky enough to secure 4 tickets to a premier of the up coming movie "Tin Tin's Adventures".

The boys heard me win them on the radio, so there was no deciding to take anyone else instead of them!

Now I remember Tin Tin from when I was a little girl and I can honestly say that it was not something I was into. My brother on the other hand had one or two of the comic books.
So having an understanding of the concept of the story I was a little worried about how the boys would take it, Ben I thought would do fine, but Alex I thought might get a little bored or scared. Me, well I really wasn't that interested in seeing the movie anyway, but was prepared to sit through it like any good mother does, because it was something for my children, but I would have snuck into any number of other movies if I could have!
Yes Alex did get a little bored, Ben did enjoy it and as for me, well I watched the whole damn thing from start to finish and would even go and see the 2nd one when it is made. It was actually good, I actually enjoyed it.

The movie is made in animation but not cartoon animation, the animation that they made "Polar Express" (Tom Hanks Movie) with, where they got the actors to do the actions and captured them in animation.

It was effective and very well done.
Would I recommend it as a movie to get to this Christmas time, yes.
Take your sons, your nephews and your grandsons, even your husbands and while your at it, take all you female relatives too.
It was just your good old young boy adventure story with goodies and badies, adventure and fun.

When the movie finished, we decided that seeing as we were already out, then we would go along to the Mormon Temple to view the thousands of Christmas Lights they put up each year around the temple grounds.
Check out this post for pictures of the glorious event.
Unfortunately what we didn't count on was the weather, that turned to custard on the way to the temple, however as we were already on our way then I decided that we were going to continue as a little rain never harmed anyone. It also meant that we could cross it off the list of things to get done before Christmas. Now gives me an evening at home tonight to get the presents wrapped!
So we stood with the few others, under the umbrella, in the pouring rain and watched the lights get turned on. Then we walked the steps up to the temple door and walked back down again, now with very wet feet, and then decided that we had achieved that one and went home to bed.

Once again though, I stood looking at the lights and had the same thought that I do every year...."really must get Grandma to come over and see the lights!"
So Grandma, please place this in your diary for 2012, sometime after Dec 12, you have to come and stay the night with us and go out to the Temple and see the pretty lights.

Movies

I love watching movies, ok I am very select about the type I will watch, not in for much body count here I am afraid, although hubby loves high body count, so always a conflict when choosing a movie!
Give me a good comedy, family saga, romance etc and I am happy.
Since the boys have come along, we haven't got to the movies as much as we use to, but then we all know what that is like, but that is life and I am not going to go on about it.
We have taken the boys to some movies recently as well, managed to see Tangled over the Christmas break, which went down very well in this house, we then also got to see Yogi Bear, went down well with the boys, but can't say Steve and I are rushing to see it again, to the point that we will not be obtaining it on DVD when it becomes available.

We just saw Hop yesterday, it was ok, Alex wanted to leave after half an hour but we managed to convince him to stay, not rushing to see it again, but it might grow on the boys if they watch it again in a couple of months time.
We saw ads for a few that are coming out that we will endeavour to see Cars 2 and Kung Foo Panda 2. The boys both loved the first ones so will definitely give the 2nd ones a try.

Myself, well can't say there is much coming out that I wish to see, fancy seeing Arthur, the remake with Helen Mirren and Russel Brand, so that will probably be the next one to see.
However, we do have a lot of movies at home on DVD. If I like something then I tend to buy it to have at home to watch again and again.
I do find however, that you always get different things from the movie the 2nd or 3rd time round.
Last night we watched Kinky Boots, awesome movie, and got so much from it that I don't think I got last time, although it has been a long time since I last saw it.

I sometimes feel like I should give more movies the benefit of the doubt. I rushed out to see Blind Side when it was on last year, had heard great reviews about it and I love Sandra Bullock. However, not quite what I expected or thought it would come across as. I liked it, but it just didn't seem to sit well with me, must have missed some main points because it just seemed a little odd to me. Came away a little disappointed.
Then last weekend, I raided my brother and family's DVD draw in their house and came across it on DVD. Decided to bring it home and give it another try.
Really glad I did, understood it much better this time and actually enjoyed it. Not about to rush out an buy my own copy but glad I have now seen it again and understood how Sandra managed to get an Oscar for it.
The same goes for Valentines Day, after seeing it last year I decided that Love Actually was much better and this was just the American version of that. However I know have the DVD to watch and hopefully it will go down better the 2nd time......will wait and see on that one!

Movies

So we are heading into summer at the top of the world and just about to start 2 weeks of school holidays down at the bottom of the world.
So that can mean only one thing.......a whole heap of movies are about to come out.

The boys are anxiously waiting for Toy Story 3 to come out, but then so are Steve and I as well.
My 2 just love 1 & 2 and so this will be a fun time out as a family when we go and see it.
We have a Buzz and a Woody here at home and Alex will happily get them out and play with them whilst watching the DVD's.
I also treated the boys, although they don't know yet, to some glasses with Toy Story 3 over them. Buzz, Woody, Rex and the Aliens.
Maybe it might get them to drink more if they have fun new glasses to drink from?!

Me, well like every other female across the land, I am waiting for the 3rd installment to come out from Twilight. Although I won't be rushing out to catch 1 & 2 and follow straight on into number 3, I will after the school holidays enjoy a pleasant evening watching it with some friends.

I have also just managed a night out with friends to catch Sex in The City 2.
Was it worth it? Yea, it was ok.
It was typical SATC style, over the top fashion but at the same time hitting on some real at ground level problems. It was funny and had a slight feel good factor, but worth a night out to see.

I saw many others advertised that looked like fun to watch, can't remember the names, but sure they will be out soon.

Green Gables

I do not remember when I first got into Anne of Green Gables.

In fact, like all other wonderful literature, I probably saw it first on the screen before I realised it was from a book!
I do have the book and I am currently reading it.
I love the writing and the fact that Anne can be "in the depths of despair", it is such fun to actually read the paragraphs where she manages to just talk and switch subjects after everyother word, typical Anne fashion.

But however, I still love AGG and the sequel. There is however the Continuing story, but as I read on another blog the other day, it is a little far fetched and really not in with the books, however it is watch able.

I have the DVD set of the 3 movies, all something like 9 hours of it, and I have just managed to spend a couple of days watching the whole thing again.
Yes I fell in love with Gilbert Blythe all over again.

I would love to visit Prince Edward Island some day, I do know that not a lot of the films were actually filmed there, but still I have heard it is a beautiful place

Movies

Yesterday, I took the boys to the movies to see Mary Poppins.
Yes, our local cinema has started showing some retro movies as they call them. In November they had a 1 off screening of Grease, this month it was Mary Poppins and in January they are showing Dirty Dancing. They have also had a week of The Rocky Horror Picture Show.
The boys have never been to the movies before. They have watched movies at home but never been to the cinema and sat in a big area to watch something on the big screen!
So I think I was very brave taking a 4 & 6yr old for their first time on my own!
Looking back Mary Poppins was probably not the best one to take them too. It has lots of slow parts and they lost interest very easily, however they loved the dancing and animated part (which I had hoped they would). They also liked the chimney sweep scenes.
Several times they both asked to go home, but I managed to divert their attention and we managed to stay until the end. I thought that maybe it had all been a sad loss but maybe not.

Today Alex asked me 'what is was that went on the spoon to help the medicine go down?'
And they both keep trying to do a sidewards jump and click their heels together just like Dick Van Dike does several times during the movie, so maybe a lot more of it went in than I realised and they did actually enjoy some of it.

I have heard there is a Toy Story 3 coming sometime next year? That will definitely be a family outing to the cinema.

P.S I have just discovered that they are putting on a stage show of Mary Poppins in Melbourne in July 2010. One day it might hit the shores of New Zealand. It would be an awesome show to go and see. I think my mum would love to see that too, so if it ever gets here maybe I will go with her and not my husband. Girls night out!

New Moon

I have read the Twilight books, all 4 of them. I read them at the beginning of the year, one after the other, a little while after the first movie had been released.
I wanted to know what all the hype was about and to see if they were as good as everyone was saying.
I found Twilight to be ok, nothing too special but good for a first book.
New Moon got better, a very morose book, but given the storyline, then I think the author did a wonderful job with the line she was following and making it relate to the age group of the choosen audience.
Eclipse was good, the bringing of the 2 sides together for the same cause and Breaking Dawn was great and clever way to cover everything and finish it off.

I actually read in a newspaper the other day that a journalist was asking the question "what is it about them, why are they so liked?"
My answer to this is the writing. I guess that is all the author can hope for, that their style of writing will be enough to draw you into the characters and want more, want to know more, want to live their lives.
Well guess what, Stephenie Meyer does just that.
It has nothing to do with whether you are 'Team Edward' or 'Team Jacob' it has to do with how well the author has managed to get you into the story and created it in your head and she has done it beautifully.

Yes they are addictive, yes you read them and want to keep on reading the whole series without stopping, yes it is easy to reread them and that just goes to show how wonderful a job at writing the author has done.

As for the movies, well like any movie based on a book, there is always that threat that it will not come across how the audience would imagine it.
We have all seen movies based on books that just haven't worked, where you have decided afterwards that the book was by far better than the movie and that the movie never did it justice.
Twilight unfortunately was like that, it covered the story but was very bitty and not the best I had seen. I sadly feel it did not do the books any favours.
However, someone must have been listening to all the comments that came out because New Moon was different. It covered more and really did give you that feel of 'OMG which team do you support?'
At about 2 hours long it is not a short movie, but even though you know the ending (because everyone who watches it will have read the books, and not just once either) it does not feel like it is dragging by.
Jacob is played by an amazing young actor and carries the movie very well with Bella, especially as this time round the Vampires are actually not the main characters in the movie, and I think this is what I like, the fact that the author was able to create these books about Vampires but hardly have them in the 2nd book, be able to expand on things and successfully bring them altogether and have it work, again back to her amazing writing.

As for 'Team Edward' or 'Team Jacob'? Well sadly I can't say that I have a particular side, well not at least for the reasons that others have them. I myself have to quietly say that I do not care much for Robert Pattinson, I didn't like him in Twilight and I really found him no better in New Moon. Taylor Lautner as Jacob was well done and for one so young I think he did and amazing job in his role. So I would have to say I am Team Jacob, although I think that the role of Alice Cullen is an amazing one as well and I think they did an awesome job at how they portrayed her character in the movies.

So if you are in 2 minds about the Twilight Series, then my advice would be this....yes, do read the books, and like always please read them before you see the movies. Are they worth reading? Yes, even if your 16yr old daughter is reading them they are worth reading.
As for the movies, give Twilight the benifit of the doubt and then enjoy New Moon. This will then put you in good stead for June of 2010 when Eclipse hits the Movie Theatres.

I do like the fact that this was one of those movies that they realised was going to already be a hit and managed to release it worldwide at the same time, like Harry Potter Books. There is nothing like being in another country and watching on the evening news how wonderful something is being accepted only to know that we still have 6-8 weeks until it arrives on our shores!

Happy reading and happy watching.

Holiday Programmes

With it being the school holidays then Ben is floating around free at present.
Last week I took a week off work and spent the time with them but sadly I couldn't do both weeks this time, so he has had to be entertained.

He goes to After School Care thanks to the local YMCA who run the programme at his school, and thanks to them because they also run a School Holiday Programme which he loves.
So this week, although I was working 3 days, he went along for 2 of them. On the other day he joined our good friends children and stayed at their house for the day with their nanny Susan. Very grateful to them all for having Ben that day.

Anyway, the reason he didn't go to the programme on that day was because they were having a day away from the building. Now I have no problem with field trips out, he loves them, but I do have a problem with the field trip being to a swimming pool.
Ben is 6, all the other children are between 5 - 7. Ben can sorta swim, should be able to after all the lessons he has had! He can't however swim enough to get himself out of any real danger plus I am not sure if he would realise he is in any danger until it was too late.
I also got put off by the lady telling me that although their ratio is 1:4 when they go swimming, not everyone gets in the water, although she said that it always seems that she ends up getting wet anyway because she has had to get in!

To me that is a major warning, like, hey do you realise that you are looking after kids who are not fab at swimming and may need a little more supervision whilst in the water. If the teachers with them are not prepared to get in the water then why bother to take the kids to the pools?

Another field trip they happily take is to the local shopping mall to grab a burger and a movie.
Sadly I do not send Ben on these days either!
Ben has never been to the movies! Not by choice either.
We tried to take him once and before we had purchased the tickets he said he didn't want to go in! So I snuck into an already running movie so he could have a look and he flatly refused to go the movies and see Kung Fu Panda (which consequently is one of his favortie movies)
Sadly there has not really been anything else that has come out that he would go.
He does tell us about the movies he gets to watch at Holiday programmes on the DVD, but most of the time he complains and says they were not ones he liked etc.
He also does not like burgers!
So sending him on a day where they spend the time at the mall and movies is a waste of money!

I have just discovered however that our movie theatre is going to be showing 'Mary Poppins' in December for one day only.
I loved this movie and have never seen is on the big screen! But then how many of us really have seeing as it came out in 1969!
So seeing as Ben loved watching some of 'Hello Dolly' the other week with all the singing and dancing in it, then I think we might be having a family afternoon out to the movies at the beginning of December.

They are also showing for one day only 'Grease'. I love this movie too and I was only 6 1/2 yrs old when it hit the cinema the first time round. When it reached its 25th Anniversary all the theatres around NZ did show it for a time and I did get to see it on the big screen. Oh man, John Travolta dancing on the big screen, what a sight! So next month come rain or shine I will be there with my $10 to watch that.

Twilight

Yes we had the Twilight movie here and yes we have had the books but not to the extent that I think others have had them!
I have started to read the series, yes, I know....where have I been? Why has it taken me so long to catch up with Bella and Edward?
There just wasn't all the hype here in NZ like there was in the US!

I knew about The Twilight Movie at the end of last year from reading everything that Julie wrote from My Journey to Family.

I then googled it to find out what was so special about the movie? Only then did I find out it was taken from a book that had been written and caused so much ho ha amongst the ladies.

It came out in NZ just after Christmas, but there was no hype, no special previews, no crazy girls going silly in the sun waiting for the midnight showing or anything like it.
It was a movie, it came out on a Thursday like all others and if you knew to watch it, then goody for you.

So while you are all still going gooey over Edward dolls, we still have people who are only just discovering the series, in written form, let alone know there was a movie made!
It is due out on DVD here soon and I am sure there will be a bigger uptake on this than the movie at the cinema mainly because the books are everywhere, people are now talking about it and most people have read the books.

Me, well I am now on book 3. Yes I am enjoying them, they are different. Although I did find book 1 a little boring, book 2 was interesting and I am now only at the beginning of book 3.
I will get the movie out on DVD from the rental store when it is available. I am interested to see it now, but am glad I have read the book first!

Cars

Yes I mean the movie, the boys are hooked, lined and sunk on this one!

They will quite happily sit and watch it back to back if allowed!
I know it came out a while ago now, but they have just got into it big time in the last couple of weeks.

Lightening McQueen is the biggest name in this household at present.

Ben knows the songs, most of the words, what happens, when it happens and everything else in between.

They finally managed to get me to sit down and watch it all the way through about 10 days ago and I have to say it is really quite fun.
Nothing too serious, although what would you expect for a Disney Pixar, but good story line with good morals in it.
I am all for Disney films, loved all the ones that I saw when I was little.

Sex in The City

I finally got to see this movie last night.

I am not an avid fan of the show, although I have watched several of the series, but not all of them.

The movie was what I expected it to be. A nice recap of the individual girls before the movie and where they would potentially be now.

I found it a little slow in the middle and maybe found they stretched things out a little to far, but over all I enjoyed the show and had a great evening out.

If you haven't had chance to see this movie and you enjoyed watching the girls then it is worth seeing. It was nice to have total closure on the show.

Now all I have to do is organise time to go and see Mama Mia. This one I really want to see and I am not waiting until it is almost finished either. Cinema here I come....

Mama Mia

The smash hit musical hit the stage here in Auckland in 2004.
Steve and Ben brought me tickets for chistmas and we had a blast.

The stage show was amazing and it was a fabulous night out, lots of singing and dancing. I would see it again tomorrow if I knew where it was playing!

So imagine my surprise when earlier this year I saw an advert at the cinema for the musical movie! Starring Meryl Streep, Julie Walters, Pierce Brosnan, Colin Firth and many other well know people.

It is finally coming here on July 10th, which turns out to be before the USA, wow NZ is priviledge to get something before the US.
I will be there, at some stage, to watch it on the big screen. Not sure if I will invite Steve to go with me or my girlfriend Wendy.
Out already quite a lot next week so will maybe have to be the week after, but this is one movie I will be watching on the big screen.

Grease

Grease is the Word

Would you believe that on Monday just gone, 16th June, it was 30 years since Grease was released in the cinemas.

As the guy on the radio said, to explain it to the kids, who think there is nothing better than High School Musical, then Grease is mum and dad's HSM but with sex!

Everyone knows a song or 2 from Grease and everyone is still quite happy to watch John Travolta dance!

I was in Kuwait when this came to the movies, I was not quite 8 years old and no I didn't see it then, in fact I think I was about 16 or 17 when I finally got to watch this movie.

Do you know that Sandy and Danny only kiss once in the whole movie!.......and that is at the beginning on the beach.

But then if you got to watch it in Kuwait, nobody actually got to kiss because they weren't allowed to show those scenes, so they got cut!

Oh how life goes on.

Priscilla

At the end of June a group of us have got tickets to see Priscilla Queen of The Desert The Musical in Auckland.

It will be a fabulous night out and I am really looking forward to it.
It has had rave reviews and looks to be a fun and colourful evening of song and bright costumes.

So it was made quite clear to me, after it was discovered that I had never seen the movie, that I needed to see the movie before I went to Auckland.

So Steve and I watched the movie whilst at the caravan this weekend.

Well.......what can I say.......now I knew the story line and had nothing wrong with that but I sure did find the movie very lame!

I found it very bitty, and definitely made on a budget.
It was not as fab as I thought it was going to be?!

Now this has not put me off going to see the musical in a couple of weeks, I know that will be amazing, but I don't think I will be rushing out to watch the movie again anytime soon!

Movies

A week or so ago I got to see the movie 'Definitely Maybe' when I had an afternoon without the boys, it was a really great one.

Not your usual soppy love story or girly chick flick. Yes it was romantic but also a great story that flowed along nicely and was a joy to sit and watch.

Then last night, Steve and I and 2 friends went out with my work to a fundraiser and watched 'Death at a Funeral'
This is a British movie and I had heard that it was funny but not the greatest. Well I howled through this. It was so funny and I had a wonderful time. It was just so out there that you could so easily imagine everything happening at the next funeral you attend.

I can't say that it will be so great to watch again, as you know everything that will happen, but if you need something to get out and watch shortly, then give this a try.

PS I Love You

Only when they started to advertise this movie did I know it was being made, or had been made.
I read the book last year, it took me several attempts to read it, but keep trying I did.

It was reasonable, not one of the all time greats but something to read none the less.
It was the authors first book.
So here I had the afternoon to myself to get all my reports done for the AGM tomorrow night at Parents Centre and I take myself off to the movies with my last free movie pass I had.

It never happens that I have an afternoon like that so it was a nice feeling, plus I also know that Steve would never of wanted to see this movie.
And after watching it I am glad I never sat him through it.
It was different, well done considering I knew the story line and I can totally see how that poor guy in Christchurch fell a sleep during it when seeing it with his girlfriend. Totally different thing but some guy fell a sleep whilst watching this and his girlfriend got so annoyed at him she left him there sleeping and he got locked in the cinema. When he woke at 3am he set off the alarms trying to get out and the police were called!

This is definitely not a bloke movie, but a good thing to watch when there is nothing else. Some very sexy men in it and some beautiful scenes of Ireland.
So snuggle down with the popcorn when your man is away and watch it in the comfort of your own living room.

Enchanted

I have seen the movie 'Enchanted'
I am such a soft romantic that this was just my type of movie, but what surprised me the most is Steve wanted to come with me!

So at 6pm last Wednesday I excitedly rush to the neighbour and asked her to sit the boys, or more to the point come and watch tv in our house as the boys would be passed out in bed.

So we went to the 9pm showing and it was great.

So as I write this I can sadly admit that I am listening to the soundtrack, which will drive Steve mental with the 'Happy Working Song' If you don't know this song then watch the Youtube clip below, typical disney cleaning song, very catchy but lovely.
